Floriography is the language of flowers. Popular in the Victorian era, each flower has a special meaning.

This series of digitized watercolor paintings is meant to be a series of sympathy cards. Instead of printing them myself or having a print run done and selling them on Etsy, I'm putting them up on Zazzle, where I don't have to worry about handling and shipping merchandise. I'm also making a series of frosted mugs on Zazzle with the designs. The product links on this page are affiliate links to the Riding the Fox Zazzle store.
They were sketched in pencil and painted with watercolors using a fairly dry brush. I like my watercolors nearly opaque, so I think I'll switch mainly to gouache for my paintings in the future. I then scanned them in and played around with them in GIMP.
