Mechanical Pencil
While drawing her, she reminded me of Alice in Wonderland.
Mechanical Pencil
The one and only infant anything I have drawn that actually looks like an infant!
Drawn from life at a Russian Orthodox funeral service a few years ago. The child was in the crowd in an extremely beautiful church and an extremely beautiful service. I didn't understand a single word of it, as I don't speak Russian or any language from the area, and I'm not even Christian, let alone Russian Orthodox anything. But, there's something about the ornate ritual and community in a funeral service like that.
Mechanical Pencil, Colored Pencil
The two doodles I liked on a page of random drawings. The wizard is of the Terry Pratchett's sort from the Discworld books. Kind of frumpy and unimpressed with anything. The fairy is a tooth fairy, I think. Also reminds me of Discworld.
The Husband, Pete, colored it in with his colored pencils. I don't remember what brand anymore, since he's a magpie with collecting pens and pencils.

I like her. I like everything about her. I don't often do a full side view. I greatly prefer a 3/4 view of a face. She's one of the few where I drew exactly what I wanted to and it worked.
Mechanical Pencil
I want to do a seasons personified series. It started with the sketch turned embroidery: Spring. I've been trying ever since to get the other seasons down in a cohesive series. I don't think I'm terribly successful yet, but I don't think it's a project that will be on the back burner long.
I like this personification of summer. I need to add plants and maybe animals that symbolize summer.
Mechanical Pencil
A possible third season personification. I like her hair. I like the braid and the mistletoe. Hate the face.

I like the face a little bit more on this Winter, but I'm still not liking her at all. Can't seem to win on Winter.
