Hand Embroidery

My first real attempt at needlepainting. Original drawing titled "Spring"

Given as a gift to a friend.

First hand embroidered iron-on patch sold in my Etsy shop.

The design is a semi-colon (;) with the words "I choose to continue" stitched over it.

Made in honor of suicide awareness and prevention and the semi-colon project.

Stitched with variegated DMC embroidery thread. Not my favorite, because I couldn't separate the threads. I prefer using single strands.

It is now being used as an earring holder.

So, I have this thing for foxes. :)

Vegvisir Crow

I stitched this crow and immediately was disappointed. I used way too much blue and silver, and the vegvisir doesn't show up very well.

I am fascinated with Norse mythology and magical traditions. I've been interested in runes and other sigils since high school at least.

A vegvisir is an Icelandic magical stave that prevents you from getting lost.
